Adam
There are a number of locations identified by Muslim exegetes as being the final resting place of Adam. The main three places are Mecca (Mount Abu Qubays), Jerusalem, and Khalil (Hebron). Christian tradition generally places the tomb of Adam in Jerusalem under the place where Jesus was crucified, called the "Cave of Treasures" and described in the Syriac "Book of the Cave of Treasures." Jewish tradition generally places the burial place of Adam in the Cave of Machpelah where Abraham and his sons are also said to be buried. All three traditions mention that Seth was responsible for the burial of his father Adam since Abel had been expelled after his murder of Cain.

Story of Prophet Adam (as) part 1/2
Ubayy b. Ka'b: Your father Adam was as tall as a very tall palm, that is, 60 cubits. He had much hair, and his private parts were concealed...When Adam was dead, the angels washed him separately with lotus and water, and dressed him in separate layers of shrouds. then they prepared a grave and buried him. They said: This will be the custom of the children of Adam after him (Tabari, Tarikh al-Rusul wa al-Muluk, 1:71).

Ibn Kathir: Some claim that Adam is buried on the mountain to which he fell in India. Others say that he is buried in Mount Abu Qubays in Mecca, or that Noah took the bodies of Adam and Eve on the Ark and reburied them in Jerusalem.

Ibn ÔAsakir says that the head of Adam is at the mosque of Abraham in the city of Khalil and his legs at the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. In his history, Tabari reports that Noah did take Adam and Eve with him on the Ark but then returned them both to the cave on Mount Abu Qubays, also called the "Cave of the Treasure," in which they had originally been buried.

Abel
Cain's murder of Abel is related in the Quran 5:27-32, but Abel is not mentioned by name. Muslim exegetes relate that Cain wanted to marry his own twin sister rather than allow his brother Abel to marry her as dictated by their father Adam.

This tomb of Abel is located in the mountains west of Damascus, near the Baqa'a Valley, near the Syrian town of Suq Wadi Barada. The tomb is housed in a complex of buildings that includes a mosque and a large gathering area. The tomb itself is roughly 9-10 meters in length and is visited regularly by Muslim pilgrims from South Asia. Other tombs in this same mountain range include the tomb of the prophet Seth. Nearby this tomb, on Mount Qasyun overlooking Damascus, is the so-called "Cave of Blood" in which Abel is said to have been killed.

Seth

Seth is not mentioned by name in the Quran but Muslim exegetes report that he was the son of Adam and Eve, the one to whom prophethood was passed after Adam, and to whom was revealed a number of scriptures from God. These scriptures are said to be the "first scriptures" mentioned in Q 87:18. Muslim exegetes also mention that Seth was responsible for the burial of Adam, and for the burial of secret texts in the tomb of Adam, called the "Cave of Treasures" by Tabari and other Muslim scholars.

Muslim and Christian sources report that some people believe Seth is buried in one of the two great pyramids in Giza near Cairo. Maqrizi reports that the Sabaians of Harran made pilgrimage to Giza and offered sacrifices there to Seth and Idris (Hermes) because they believed that the pyramids were the tombs of these two prophets.

Tomb of Seth in Baqa'a Valley

This tomb of Seth is located within one of the main mosques in the village of Nabi Shit (i.e. Prophet Seth) in the mountains above the Baqa'a Valley in Lebanon. This is the same range of mountains that contain the tombs of other early prophets such as Abel. The area of the tomb is not raised above the ground and is roughly 50 meters in length. The tomb, shown here, is draped with Shi'i burial shrouds and the mosque is clothed in black for the remembrance of Ashura which was taking place when this picture was taken, in February 2004. The tomb was visited in the 19th century by Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi and was described to the 12th century traveler Ibn Jubayr along with the nearby tomb of Noah in Kerak Nuh.
Cave of Blood

Caves on Mount Qasyun overlooking the city of Damascus. It was in one of these caves, called the "Cave of Blood" that Cain is reported to have killed his brother Abel, buried on another nearby mountain. Also near the Cave of Blood is the "Cave of the Forty" in which forty prophets or righteous people are said to have starved to death.
